SACE - SIMEST Call for Proposals, digital and/or ecological transition

A low-interest loan and a non-repayable grant for Italian companies that need to invest in digital and/or ecological transition.

A call for applications aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of companies with an international vocation, supporting them in investments for digital and ecological transition. The challenge for Italian companies is, in fact, to produce sustainably to continue competing globally, and this funding helps them do so with subsidized rate resources and a non-repayable grant.

Beneficiaries

Companies with legal and operational headquarters in Italy may access the measure if, at the date of application submission:
- They have filed at least 2 financial statements with the Business Register
- They have export turnover equal to at least 10% of the last financial statement


Eligible Expenses

Digital Transition:
- Integration and digital development of business processes
- Implementation/modernization of organizational and management models from a digital perspective
- Investments in technological equipment, software programs, and digital content
- Digital consultancy
- Investment expenses related to Industry 4.0 (Big Data, Cloud, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, etc.)

Ecological Transition
- Investments for energy efficiency, water efficiency, etc.
- Expenses for obtaining and maintaining environmental certifications


Characteristics of the Incentive

Subsidized rate financing (maximum duration 6 years, including 2 years of pre-amortization) with a minimum amount of 10,000 Euro; the maximum financable amount shall be the lower of:
- 35% of the average revenues of the last two financial statements and:
a) 500,000 Euro for Micro Enterprises
b) 2.5 million Euro for SMEs and Innovative SMEs
c) 5 million Euro for other Enterprises

The (approved) Financing can be used up to 50% for investments in Digital and/or Ecological Transition. The remaining part, up to 50%, for the strengthening of the company's equity.
This latter portion can be increased up to:
- 70% of the approved amount for Companies that have suffered an increase in energy costs equal to 100% or that have foreign turnover equal to at least 20% at the time of application submission
- 80% for Companies with interests in the Western Balkan areas
- 90% for Companies located in territories affected by floods occurring from May 1st, 2023 (Annex 1 DL 61/2023)


Application Submission

The financing application can be submitted from 09:00 on July 27, 2023, through the Simest financing Portal.
