Digital Export Call for Emilia Romagna

For micro, small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Emilia-Romagna, here is an interesting Call for Proposals to support investments related to international markets.

The objectives

The goal of the Emilia-Romagna Chamber System through the "Digital Export - Year 2023" Call is to strengthen the capacity of regional enterprises to operate in international markets, assisting them in identifying new business opportunities in already served markets and in searching for new outlet markets, thus contributing to increasing the competitiveness of the Emilia-Romagna production system.


The beneficiaries

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Emilia-Romagna may apply for the grant referred to in this Call. The enterprises benefiting from the grant, at the date of application submission and until the disbursement of the aid, must possess the following requirements:
a) be regularly established and registered in the Business Register at the competent Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handicrafts and Agriculture by 31.12.2020, without turnover constraints;
b) have a registered office and/or local unit in Emilia-Romagna, excluding local units qualified as warehouses or depots,
c) be up to date with the payment of the Annual Fee of the relevant Chamber of Commerce;
d) be up to date with social security and insurance payments and obligations;
e) be in compliance with EC Regulation 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 regarding "De Minimis" aid, or not exceed, with the grant grantable under this Call, the ceiling of 200,000.00 euros of De Minimis grants received in the last three years;
f) be active and not be subject to liquidation, bankruptcy, composition with creditors, controlled administration or other insolvency procedures.
g) belong to the following economic activity sectors: Istat Ateco 2007 classification (both primary and secondary codes will be considered) - section C manufacturing activities divisions from 10 to 33. In the case of an outdated ATECO code, the corporate purpose registered in the chamber certificate must show an activity consistent with the eligible sectors.

Eligible projects

Projects aimed at implementing internationalization and promo-commercialization paths presented by single enterprises, aimed at strengthening their presence abroad and/or developing promotion channels and tools abroad, are eligible for funding.
Projects must be aimed at a maximum of 2 foreign countries that are homogeneous due to similarity in the type of target sectors or geographical proximity (geographical areas are excluded) and structured in at least 2 areas of activity among those listed in the point below, without constraints on the type and expenditure.
In particular, the projects must concern:
a) the development of internal skills through the use within the company of T.E.M. Temporary Export Manager and D.E.M. Digital Export Manager, supporting company personnel.
b) the organization of B2B and B2C meetings, either in person or virtual/remote, in Italy or abroad, with operators from the target countries identified in the project.
c) participation in specialized fairs and conferences of an international nature
d) the implementation of digital marketing activities through one or more digital channels. All digital marketing activities must mandatory be carried out through a consulting company.
e) the launch and development of online business management
f) the translation of the company website content into the foreign language of the target country/countries of the project, provided they are aimed at developing promotion activities;
g) the enhancement of promotional and marketing materials in the foreign language of the target country/countries of the project.

Eligible expenses

The following types of expenditure are eligible:
a) consulting services relating to one or more areas of activity in support of international trade.
b) relating to physical or virtual B2B/B2C meetings.
c) relating to in-person participation in specialized international fairs and conferences as exhibitors.
d) relating to digital marketing activities.
e) relating to the launch and development of online business activity management.
f) relating to the company website.
g) relating to promotional material


The incentive

The incentives will be provided in the form of non-repayable grants, up to a maximum of 50% of the eligible expenditure. The maximum unit grant is 10,000.00 euros and the minimum is 5,000.00 euros, against total eligible expenses equal to 20,000.00 euros.
The grants provided by this Call are granted within the "de minimis regime".


Submission of the application

The opening terms for the submission of the application, only electronically, are within the time frame from 12:00 PM on October 9, 2023, to 2:00 PM on October 27, 2023.
