Who is it for
Single or associated SMEs, including cooperatives and their associations registered in the business register with the qualification of, may access the Agricultural Innovation Fund:- agricultural enterprise;
- fishery enterprise;
- agromechanical enterprise
What it finances
The Agricultural Fund finances investments in technological innovation for an amount of not less than 70,000.00 Euro and not more than 500,000.00 Euro.Eligible costs concern:
1. Purchase of machinery, tools and equipment for agriculture. In particular:
a. machinery, including driving and operating machinery;
b. tools and devices for loading and unloading, handling, weighing and automatic sorting of parts;
c. automated lifting and handling devices;
d. drones;
e. Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and flexible conveying and handling systems, and/or equipped with part recognition;
f. equipment for treatments with phytosanitary products and for the spreading of fertilizers;
2. Purchase of non-road mobile machinery for agriculture and livestock farming;
3. Purchase of machinery and equipment for livestock farming characterized by a high level of technology and automation, such as:
a. machines whose operation is controlled by computerized systems or managed through appropriate sensors and actuators;
b. machine tools and plants for the production of products through the transformation of materials and raw materials;
c. in-process monitoring systems to ensure and track the quality of the product or the production process and which allow the production processes to be qualified in a documentable manner and connected to the factory information system.
4. Purchase of agricultural tractors that fall within the scope of Regulation (EU) No 167/2013, with Stage V engine.
The incentive
The Fund provides two types of incentives:
- non-repayable grant
- financing with Ismea guarantee
For agricultural SMEs, the grant is:
- up to 100,000 Euro: 48.75% (60% for young people);
- from 100,001 to 200,000 Euro: 42.25% (52% for young people);
- from 200,001 to 300,000 Euro: 35.75% (44% for young people);
- from 300,001 to 500,000 Euro: 29.25% (36% for young people).
For agromechanical SMEs, the grant is:
- up to 100,000 Euro: 95%
- from 100,001 to 200,000 Euro: 90%
- from 200,001 to 300,000 Euro: 80%
- from 300,001 to 500,000 Euro: 70%
*the de minimis regime must be considered for the latter
The ISMEA guarantee (not applicable to agromechanical SMEs) covers financing up to a maximum of 95% of the total investment value, and the guarantee intervenes up to 80% of the requested financing .
